On October 11 at the Tuttle Theater at the College of St Joseph, we had our very first of what we hope are many successful performances. We were thrilled with the turnout and the amazing response from our audience. Suzanne Kantorski and Darik Knutsen sang beautifully. Wesley Christensen wowed everyone with his clarinet and Charles Madsen lent a steady musicality through out.
We also made a very big and very exciting announcement:
We have been invited by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC to be a part of their afternoon concert series. (The story of how that came about will be part of another blog post.)
Did you miss it? Never fear, we have a few short clips to share. Sadly our video recorder decided to turn off about 35 minutes in, but we did record a few moments from rehearsal as well.
We started off with a few pieces from Orpheus and Euridice by Ricky Ian Gordon, which will be our fully staged production in August of next year. This is an excerpt from The Song.
We had a great time putting together this concert and were so pleased at how much everyone enjoyed it. Remember! If you would like to see more events like this, we will need your help. Please consider a donation! You can follow this link to donate online or mail in a check.
Thank you in advance!!
