Things are starting to really get moving for VTOP. We will be holding auditions for dancers on April 2nd. Information below.
This August we will be presenting our first fully staged opera Orpheus and Euridice by Ricky Ian Gordon at the Marble Museum in Proctor, Vermont. We have been invited by the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC to perform September 10 and 11, 2016.
It is a small opera with Soprano, Clarinetist, and 4 dancers (2 male, 2 female). We are looking for modern dancers with a strong ballet core. The dancers will serve as a Greek chorus and will be an integral part of our production. Here are the details:

11:30-2:30 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 85 West Street in Rutland
Director/Choreographer: Keturah Stickann
Rehearsals would begin July 27, 2016. Rehearsals would be held in Rutland and Proctor.
Performances August 12 and 13, 2016 at the Marble Museum in Proctor
National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC: Travel Sept 8-12. Performances Sept 10-11, 2016
This is a paid position. Dancers must be available for both Vermont and DC.
